After Amitabh Bachchan, Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon has bought a 2,000- sq ft premium plot in The House of Abhinandan Lodha's (HoABL) luxury project in Alibaug for about Rs 2 crore, sources told Moneycontrol.
The plot is located in HoABL's project the Sol de Alibaug and the deal was signed on July 11.
The House of Abhinandan Lodha has confirmed the transaction to Moneycontrol, but did not confirm the deal value.
Recently, Alibaug has become a prime destination for land and property investments. Government initiatives to enhance connectivity between Mumbai and Alibaug is driving real estate development, and attracting developers, homebuyers, and investors. Major projects like the Mumbai Trans Harbour Link (MTHL) have also led to a surge in demand for luxury second homes.
Previously, Bachchan acquired a 10,000-sq feet plot in the same project in Alibaug for over Rs 10 crore, sources added.
Speaking on her first investment with HoABL, Kriti Sanon said, "Buying land on my own has been quite an empowering journey, and I have had my eyes on Alibaug for a while. I was looking for - peace, privacy and a great investment addition to my portfolio."
Bollywood actors beeline for luxury real estate in Mumbai
Mumbai recently saw several large-ticket real estate deals in the luxury real estate segment. On June 25, actor Aamir Khan acquired an apartment in Mumbai's Pali Hill for Rs 9.75 crore.
On June 20, Amitabh Bachchan purchased three office units in the Veer Savarkar Signature building in Mumbai for around Rs 60 crore. These office spaces are located in the Signature Building, off Veera Desai Road in Andheri West area of Mumbai.
