PNB MetLife, on June 13, announced a bonus of Rs 930 crore for eligible participating policyholders, a move that could benefit 582,000 customers, the insurer said.
"This year's bonus marks a significant 21 percent increase from the previous year, with an additional Rs 161.4 crore taking the bonus amount declared this year to Rs 930 crore. The number of eligible beneficiaries has increased by 30,000 policyholders, representing a growth rate of 5.43 percent against last year," the insurer said in a statement on June 13.
PNB MetLife on June 6 had appointed Sameer Bansal as managing director and chief executive officer, effective July 1.
Bansal will succeed Ashish Srivastava, who has been appointed as the managing director for MetLife Inc's Global Shared Services team in India.
"PNB MetLife India Insurance Co. Ltd, a leading life insurer, announces today the appointment of Sameer Bansal as managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO), effective July 1, 2024, subject to the necessary regulatory approvals," the private sector insurer said in a statement.
Bansal joined PNB MetLife in 2007 and is currently the Chief Distribution Officer and member of the leadership team. He has over 25 years of experience in financial services.
