There is no co-pay in this plan, which offers policyholders financial relief by eliminating out-of-pocket expenses for covered services. Additionally, the absence of a room rent limit ensures that policyholders have access to quality healthcare facilities without concerns about accommodation expenses exceeding their coverage.

Policyholders should note certain restrictions though, such as disease-wise sub-limits for specific treatments like cataract, which may affect the coverage for certain medical procedures.

The plan comes with a standard waiting period of two years for pre-existing diseases / conditions like congenital anomalies, hernia of all types, deviated nasal septum, and four years for conditions like joint replacement because of degeneration, gout, and rheumatoid arthritis.

Additionally, the plan provides maternity benefits, covering both normal and caesarean deliveries up to Rs 45,000, and offers comprehensive coverage for expectant mothers during pregnancy and childbirth.

What doesn’t work

Despite its strengths, it's important to acknowledge the limitations, such as a relatively higher claims complaint rate (11.57 per 10,000 claims), compared to other A-rated plans. However, the plan's solid overall performance and A-rated classification underscore its reliability and value.
