Former Bigg Boss OTT 3 contestant and Youtuber Armaan Malik's first wife, Payal Malik, is going through a harrowing time. Payal, who was evicted from the show early on, has filed a defamation notice against people who she says are 'threatening her' or her family.
Payal Malik took to her Instagram handle and shared a video statement in which Payal informed her followers that she has filed defamation cases against some people.
She further said that those people will get notices very soon.
“For now, we were being trolled. I don’t have a problem with it. When somebody gets big, they have to face trolls. But now, I am receiving threats also. (mujhe dhankiyan aa rahi hai, main man haani ka case file karne aayi hoon. Ab jo bhi hoga aako khud bhugatna padega) People who are defaming me or my family, I am here to file a defamation case against them. Now, whatever happens, you will have to face it yourself. You are doing it. I have submitted names; you all will get notices soon,” said Payal.
This comes a day after JioCinema filed a case in the cybercell against the fake and fabricated intimate video of Armaan Malik and his second wife, Kritika Malik, that went viral.
JioCinema had also issued a statement saying that the video being circulated is fake and that Bigg Boss OTT 3 doesn't promote such things.
“JioCinema adheres to strict programming standards and guidelines to ensure quality and appropriateness of any content that streams on our platform. Bigg Boss OTT, which was streamed on JioCinema, did not have any such content. The video clip in circulation is doctored to include obscenity and is fake. We are committed to protecting the integrity of JioCinema and the trust our viewers place in us. The creation and circulation of this fake clip is a matter of very serious concern,” the statement read.
“Our teams are working towards identifying the origins of this clip and will initiate action against those responsible for creating and distributing such defamatory content against Bigg Boss OTT and JioCinema,” it added.
Earlier, Payal had also addressed the news of the video, and she also called it fake. She had then spoken in her vlog, urging people to stop sharing the video.
“Whoever has shared the video claiming it is Armaan and Kritika's, I would request them with folded hands to stop. The video is edited. I have stayed at Bigg Boss House, and I can say that there are no lamps like the ones seen in the viral clip. The blanket is also different. Those who have stayed inside the house will quickly understand that the clip is fake,” she said in her vlog.
