Shares of low-cost carrier SpiceJet rose 3% on August 13 after it said it will induct five more Boeing 737s ahead of the winter season.

SpiceJet said on August 13 that it has finalised a lease agreement for another five Boeing 737 aircraft, further strengthening its fleet ahead of the upcoming winter schedule.

At 9:45 am on August 13, SpiceJet shares were trading nearly 3% higher at Rs 35.21 apiece.

"While most of these aircraft will join the fleet in October 2025, a few are scheduled to arrive a couple of weeks earlier," the airline said in a stock exchange filing.
