The Indian equity market on the last trading day of the week closed in the green pushed by late rally in bank stocks. The HDFC twins were the top contributors to the upmove. Meanwhile, ITC and IT stocks capped their gains. The 30-share BSE Sensex was up 48.70 points at 31,262.06 and the 50-share NSE Nifty rose 21 points to 9,668.25.
