Watch the interview of Dipan Mehta, Member BSE & NSE with Anuj Singhal and Ekta Batra on CNBC-TV18, in which he shared his reading and outlook on market and specific stocks.Below is the verbatim transcript of Dipan Mehta's interview with CNBC-TV18Asian Paints"I think that if Asian Paints corrects by another 5-10 percent or so, then one could get into it. But you have to have patience for a stock like Asian Paints because of its size and its dominant presence in the industry unless the overall industry grows and the basic economic trends do not pick up, one should not expect better performance from Asian paints. But then these are stocks you have to buy on corrections like this only and corrections only will come in when there is a slight whiff of bad news as has been the case just now." "My sense is that as soon as we see a gradual uptick in the economy, rural and domestic consumption picking up even further, Asian Paints will certainly start benefitting. Even a little bit of volume growth with margins remaining stable, because of lower raw material prices could mean that the company is back on its growth track, what we have been usually expecting in the region of about 20 percent or thereabout on the bottomline," he said.Telecom"There is a problematic situation as far as telecom companies are concerned. On one hand, there is virtually no growth that can be seen when the results have been available so far. On the other hand, there is the launch of Reliance Jio and that may be quite damaging at least in the short-term for the entire telecom industry with such huge capacities going on stream. Then there could be predatory pricing and existing telecom operators may have to reduce their charges or undertake higher marketing spends.""It is going to be a bit of a kind of very challenging situation for the industry for the next two three quarters or so. I think these stocks may sink even further from these levels. So, I would be a bit negative on the entire telecom industry," he said.
