Gensol Engineering has bagged 30,000 pre-orders for its two-door, two-seater compact EVs Ezio and Ezibot, made by its subsidiary and meant for micro urban mobility, the company said on Januar7 28.

Gensol claims the running cost of the EVs is as low as 50-60 paise per km, making it up to 80% cheaper to operate than petrol vehicles. Ezio is capable of covering 200 km on a single charge, said the company, with full charging in 2-3 hours.

Anmol Singh Jaggi, Gensol's MD said the vehicle 'redefines urban commuting'.
