Shares of Apollo Hospitals Enterprises fell 1 percent to Rs 7,852 in morning deals on August 22 after Suneeta Reddy, promoter and managing director of the company, offloaded 1.32 percent of her holding in the healthcare major through a block transaction, Bloomberg data showed.
The deal, involving approximately 18.97 lakh shares, is valued at Rs 1,489 crore and has a floor price of Rs 7,850 per share — about 1 percent below the last closing price of Rs 7,926 on the NSE.

Reddy, who has been with Apollo since 1989 and is part of the company’s founding family, owned a 3.36 percent stake as of June-end 2025. Post-sale, her shareholding is expected to fall to 2.11 percent.
The divestment move comes on the heels of a robust April–June quarter. Apollo’s consolidated net profit jumped 42 percent year-on-year to Rs 433 crore, compared with Rs 305 crore a year ago. Revenue climbed nearly 15 percent to Rs 5,842 crore, while EBITDA rose 26 percent to Rs 851.5 crore. Operating margins improved to 14.6 percent from 13.3 percent.
Looking forward, the hospital chain has lined up an expansion of over 4,300 beds across cities, including Bengaluru and Hyderabad, backed by a Rs 7,600 crore investment over the next five years. It has also rolled out Apollo Zen, an AI-driven preventive health programme, alongside OraLife, a screening initiative for early detection of oral cancer.
Brokerages remain split on the stock. Nomura has reiterated its ‘neutral’ stance following the first quarter, citing in-line revenue and better-than-expected operating profit. Citi, however, stays bullish with a ‘buy’ rating and a target of Rs 8,260, flagging healthy margin expansion across its hospital and HealthCo businesses.
