Jetstar and IndiGo partner up for international flights

Launching at the end of April, the virtual interline partnership between the two LCCs is made possible by technology company and flight search engine, Dohop.

The Jetstar Group and IndiGo have announced a new Low-Cost Carrier (LCC) interline agreement that will allow Jetstar customers to book connections and flights on IndiGo services through the Jetstar Connect platform.

The virtual interline relationship between the two LCCs, which will begin at the end of April, is made possible by Dohop, a technology business and flight search engine.

Customers can book flights and purchase bundled and unbundled supplementary products using the integrated booking engine, and customers travelling between international flights can enjoy smooth passenger and baggage transfer, the Jetstar-IndiGo joint statement mentioned.

William Boulter, Chief Commercial Officer, IndiGo, said, “We are pleased to announce the partnership with Jetstar. This strategic agreement will enable both airlines to tap into the rising demand for international travel, especially during this summer holiday season.”
