The India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025, billed as Asia’s largest digital technology forum, will be held from October 8–11 at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in New Delhi. The ninth edition of the event is expected to draw more than 1.5 lakh visitors, 7,000 delegates, 800 speakers and 400 exhibitors from 150 countries, according to the official press release.
This year’s theme, 'Innovate to Transform,' brings together developments across 5G, 6G, artificial intelligence, satellite communications, green tech and cybersecurity.
One of the key attractions is the Aspire Startup Program, featuring over 500 startups and 300 investors, incubators and accelerators. The forum will host mentorship sessions, pitch events and networking opportunities across sectors such as deep-tech, AI, fintech and satellite communications.
According to the press release, IMC will also host the Startup World Cup India for the first time, where 15 shortlisted startups will compete for a chance to advance to the global finale in San Francisco with a $1 million investment prize.
Artificial intelligence will be a central theme, with sector-specific use cases from healthcare, finance, agriculture and logistics. A dedicated International AI Summit, organised with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, will discuss India’s evolving role in global AI governance and ethical frameworks.
The event will also feature the 2nd International Bharat 6G Symposium in partnership with the Bharat 6G Alliance. Over 70 experts, including technology leaders and academics from IITs and international universities, will discuss spectrum harmonisation, AI-native networks and non-terrestrial connectivity.
Cybersecurity will get a dedicated platform through a summit organised with the National Security Coordination Secretariat (NSCS). Sessions will cover AI-powered threats, regulatory frameworks and securing satellite communication networks.
India’s satellite communications sector, projected to reach $20 billion by 2028, will also take centre stage. The Satcom Summit, hosted with IN-SPACe, will explore next-generation satellite technologies including multi-orbit architectures and direct-to-device connectivity.
