Ericsson starts Antenna manufacturing in India via VVDN; to export to other countries

Swedish telecom equipment maker Ericsson is expanding its manufacturing operations in India in partnership with homegrown electronics contract manufacturer, VVDN. With this, India has joined Ericsson’s existing manufacturing locations in Mexico, Romania, and China that are exporting equipment to other countries.

A share of the antennas made in India will be exported, placing India as a central location in Ericsson’s global supply chain. The company aims to align product development with customer needs across different regions.

The move supports the company’s operations in India and integrates the country further into Ericsson’s global network.

By June 2025, Ericsson plans to localize all passive antenna production for the Indian market. The investment is aimed at faster delivery, closer work with local partners, and alignment with customer needs.
