Union Budget 2017-18: Hope proposed reforms will encourage people to spend, says HCC

The Union Budget announced earlier today had no big negatives, says Ajit Gulabchand CMD, HCC.

Listing his views on the policy announcement, Gulabchand told CNBC-TV18 that the government has understood that there is a lack of demand and that it must step in to create demand.

He said that the changes made for the affordable housing scheme is a big positive and expects the middle-class population to be happy with the tax rate cut.

Today everyone is a bit wary of spending and the reforms proposed in the policy will hopefully encourage people to spend more, he said.Watch video for more.
