The Economic Survey, which sets the scene for Finance Minister Arun Jaitley's fifth annual budget, forecasts that the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) will grow by 7 percent to 7.5 percent in 2018-19.

The Economic Survey for 2017-18, presented in the Parliament's Budget Session by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday, underlined the need for more reforms. The survey was authored by Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian.
