In an exclusive interview with CNBC-TV18's Shereen Bhan, Montek Singh Ahluwalia says the move to privatise Air India is a good one. Speaking on the state of the economy, he adds that there is nothing wrong with the finance ministry asking for a rate cut.
I had recommended it in a note which I have done in 1990. So if it happens in the year 2017, it will be 37 years after I first recommended it. It is a good idea, he said.
