V-Guard Industries today reported an over two-fold jump in its standalone net profit at Rs 21.48 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2015.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 9.23 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal, V-Guard Industries said in a statement.
Total income from operations stood at Rs 416.28 crore for the quarter under consideration as against Rs 395.36 crore in the year-ago period.
Commenting on the results, V-Guard Industries MD Mithun K Chittilappilly said: "The business outlook remains positive; we continue to see an enhanced demand for certain categories of our products, considering the forthcoming summer season." The company is expanding presence in the east with its newest plant coming up in Sikkim, he added.
Shares of V-Guard Industries closed 0.53 percent down at Rs 889.50 per scrip on the BSE.
