Britannia Industries announced that Jehangir Nusli Wadia has been appointed to the board as an additional non-executive non-independent director with effect from November 11, the filing said.

"Mr. Jeh Wadia is an accomplished Industrialist and Entrepreneur. He was the Managing Director of India’s second-listed public company founded in 1863, The Bombay Burmah Trading Corporation Limited from 2001 to 2011," the company statement said.

Wadia has also contributed as the Managing Director of The Bombay Dyeing and Manufacturing Company Limited and headed the Managements of the textile, retail and chemical divisions.

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC) on November 11 reported 17% jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 11,984 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2024. The oil PSU reported standalone net profit of Rs 10,238 crore in the year-ago period.

The company's consolidated revenue from operations declined 4% to Rs 33,881 crore in Q2FY25 as compared to Rs 35,163 crore in Q2FY24.

ONGC said its board declared first interim dividend of Rs 6 per share.
