Prakash Industries reported a good set of Q1 earnings. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Ved Prakash Agarwal, Chairman of the company spoke about the results and his outlook for the company.
He said that steel realisations were up 10 percent or Rs 4,500 per tonne in the past quarter.
He also said that benefits of coal linkage will be seen in FY18.
According to him Q2 of FY18 is seeing strong traction. He expects sharp uptake.
On pipe business front, he said PVC pipe business profit was approximately Rs 45 crore in FY17. He expects profit to grow by 35 percent.
