No immediate plans to demerge hotel biz; eyeing Rs 100 cr turnover in engg biz: KCP

In an interview with CNBC-TV18, GN Murty, CFO of KCP spoke about the results and his outlook for the company. Speaking about their cement business, he said the company sold 4.9 lakh tonne vs 4.3 lakh tonne in Q4 of FY16, he added.

On engineering business side, he said the company is targeting a turnover of Rs 100 crore in FY18 and talking about the hotel side of business, he said that they are seeing a consistent increase in occupancy level and other revenues.

He also clarified that they have no immediate plans to demerge the hotel business.

"Since we are expanding our capacity, our debt will be increasing even after considering the repayment of the old debt. Our current debt is about Rs 330 crore compared to Rs 347 crore last year. We have repaid and also drawn for our expansion," said Murty.
