In an interview with CNBC-TV18, ML Pachisia, MD, Orient Paper & Industries, discussed the company's third quarter earnings. He said the company swung to a profit thanks to a turnaround in the paper business, which was led by internal efficiencies and cost reduction.Below is the transcript of the interview on CNBC-TV18.Latha: Can you take us through your numbers? You seem to have moved from a loss situation to a profit situation. Will the profit last and what caused this turnaround?A: Yes it is indeed true that this quarter we have done much better. The major driver of this is the turnaround in the paper division which has come into positive territory now. And this has not happened because of any improvement in the market, but more because of our internal efficiencies and cost reduction efforts that we have been doing over the last couple of quarters. So, this is now, coming into effect. The electric division has also done much better in the third quarter than in the previous quarter. And so therefore, we do believe that this improvement is likely to be sustained or in fact, gain further momentum.Latha: What kind of a revenue and profit projection can you give for the next quarter?A: I cannot be specific about the numbers, but all I can say is that we will end the year with a positive bottomline.Reema: Are you looking to demerge your electronics business from paper?A: No, there is no decision on that front. We keep on exploring different options but there is no particular decision on that front.
