JK Tyre to concentrate on truck, car radial: AK Bajoria

JK Tyre posted a very strong set of earnings. Despite single digit revenue growth, they showed very good improvement in operational performance. Speaking about the third quarter numbers and the business outlook going forward AK Bajoria, president & director of the company said in the last couple of quarters, the company has changed its strategies and is now concentrating and investing in truck radial and car radial which will give us very good returns in the coming days. According to him the truck nylon tyre market is diminishing, it’s de-growing slowly quarter on quarter.JK Tyre & Industries reported 55.53 percent jump in consolidated net profit at Rs 91.81 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014, on account of company's focus on radial tyres.The Mexico business has been quite satisfactory, even in the third quarter, said Bajoria. The company has now undertaken a 50% expansion in the passenger car radial manufacturing in their JK Tornel Mexico plant to serve the domestic as well as the export market from Mexico, he added.Commenting on his expectations from the upcoming Budget he said: “In JK Tyre we are hoping that this upcoming Budget will bring lot of good news for us and would give a boost to the economy and the economy would revive.”With the hope of revival in the economy, he is hopeful of performing well in the fourth quarter too despite all the challenges.
