The net profit of Info Edge (India), the parent company of Naukri.com, increased 20.3 percent to Rs 263 crore in the third quarter of the financial year (Q3FY25) from Rs 219 crore in the same quarter last year.
Sequentially, the standalone revenue is up 12.8 percent to 672 crore from Rs 595 crore in Q3 ending December 31, 2024.
On a consolidated basis, Info Edge's net profit was up 15 percent to Rs 722 crore while operating revenue recorded 22 percent growth at Rs 3,182 crore for the quarter under review.
“In Q3, we achieved 16% billing growth, driven by consistent performance across all four verticals. Our recruitment business continued its growth trajectory across all segments, contributing to improved operating profits. Additionally, the non-recruitment businesses are also nearing breakeven, further strengthening our position for sustained growth,” Hitesh Oberoi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, was quoted as saying in a company release.
The company’s consolidated expenses stood at Rs 486 crore in the reported quarter, up 7 percent from Rs 455 crore in the same period last year. Employee cost emerged as the largest contributor, with the firm spending almost the same, at Rs 306 crore, compared to last year.
Segment Revenue
Info Edge's standalone revenue from recruitment services--Naukri-- rose over 12 percent to Rs 505 crore in the December quarter, compared to Rs 451 crore last year in the same period.
"Growth has been widespread - IT segment grew by 16%, non-IT by 17%, and the recruitment consultant segment by 9%," the company said in the release.
The company said the Naukri database now consists of 10.4 crore resumes, with over 19,500 average resumes added daily in Q3FY25.
Meanwhile, its real estate vertical 99acres generated almost 17 percent higher revenue at Rs 104 crore YoY.
As of September 30, 2024, the firm held a cash balance of Rs 4,290 crore.
