HDFC Asset Management Company (AMC) on January 14 reported a net profit of Rs 641 crore in the October-December quarter (Q3) of financial year 2025 (FY25). This marks an increase of 31% from the net profit reported in Q3 of the previous financial year (FY24). The company's revenue from operations also saw a significant y-o-y surge of 39% to Rs 671.32 crore in Q3 FY25.
After the company announced its consolidated financial results in an exchange filing on January 14, the shares of the company remained flat. At 3.10 pm, the shares were up 0.80% to trade at around Rs 3,800.9.
While revenue from operations rose in Q3, the company's total income fell around 2% on a sequential basis. The total income reduced from Rs 1,058 crore in Q2 to Rs 1,028 crore in Q3.
HDFC AMC's expenses grew nearly 6% from Rs 177 crore in Q3 FY24 to Rs 188 crore in Q3 FY 25. However, the latest figure was 6% lower than the Rs 199.78 crore expenses recorded in the previous quarter (Q2). The company's tax expense also saw a strong decline. It fell around 30% from Rs 281.8 crore in Q2 to Rs 198.5 crore in Q3.
HDFC AMC said its total assets, including financial as well as non-financial, stood at Rs 8,035.7 crore at the end of December, 2024. This is higher than the Rs 7,557.6 crore assets the company held at the end of March 31, 2024.
The company also announced that its board has approved the grant of 7,500 stock options to eligible employees. The grant price has been set at Rs 3,834.55 per option. The announcements were made after the company's board of directors concluded their meeting on January 14.
