GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare on Thursday said its second quarter net profit rose 13 percent year-on-year to Rs 120 crore. The maker of malted beverages like Horlicks and Boost said its net sales in the April-June quarter were up 17 percent from a year ago to Rs 853 crore. GSK Consumer's expenses last quarter increased 19 percent to Rs 746 crore. While raw material costs gained 9 percent to Rs 281 crore and advertising and promotional spends rose 19 percent to Rs 138 crore.
