Ujjivan Financial Services was under pressure after reporting a disappointing set of Q4 earnings. Profits declined 65 percent YoY to 19.4 crore as disbursements took a hit due to demonetisation.
In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Samit Ghosh, CEO & MD of Ujjivan Financial Services spoke about the Q4 performance and the outlook going forward.
Talking about NPAs, he said the gross non-performing assets (GNPAs) including demonetisation period stood at 3.7 percent. However, the company had taken additional provisions in the last quarter, he added. The bank took active measure to manage loan recoveries, he said.
"Customers who had defaulted 4-5 instalments are coming back and starting to repay 1-2 instalments, he said.
