Finolex Cables today reported 64.34 per cent jump in standalone net profit at Rs 104.8 crore for the second quarter ended September 30 helped by higher other income.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 63.77 crore for the corresponding period of the previous fiscal.
Total income from operations of the company declined to Rs 614.23 crore for the quarter under consideration, down 4.09 per cent, as against Rs 640.49 crore for the same period year ago, Finolex Cables said in a BSE filing.
Other income during the quarter doubled to to Rs 55.23 crore as against Rs 26.89 crore reported a year ago.
Finolex Cables is a leading manufacturer of electrical and telecommunication cables.
Shares of Finolex Cables today closed at Rs 432.95 on BSE, up 2.39 per cent, from previous close.
