Subdued exports notwithstanding, animal vaccines manufacturer Hester Biosciences posted decent third quarter earnings, said its Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Rajiv Gandhi.
Speaking to CNBC-TV18, Gandhi said good sales of large animal vaccines and health products had helped the company achieve a net profit of 22 percent year-on-year at Rs 5.8 crore, with an 18-percent increase in total income at Rs 28.5 crore.
Delays in registrations in some African countries had resulted in a drop in exports, but he says sales had not been greatly affected.
Gandhi added Hester would open an animal diagnostics division, for which there would be no additional investment as the infrastructure was already in place.Watch video for more...
