Arvind Q1 net profit doubles to Rs 67.6 cr

Arvind's earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) jumped 42.67 percent Y-o-Y to Rs 214 crore and EBITDA margin rose by 150 bps Y-o-Y to 14.2 percent during the quarter.

Arvind's first quarter consolidated net profit more than doubled to Rs 67.6 crore during the quarter from Rs 32.5 crore in a year ago period.


Consolidated net sales grew by 27.52 percent year-on-year to Rs 1,501 crore in April-June quarter.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) jumped 42.67 percent Y-o-Y to Rs 214 crore and EBITDA margin rose by 150 bps Y-o-Y to 14.2 percent during the quarter.
Results were not strictly comparable Y-o-Y due to a strike in first quarter of FY13. Arvind lost revenues of around Rs Rs 95 crore and EBITDA at Rs Rs 35 crore in first quarter of previous financial year 2012-13.
