Apollo Hospitals Enterprises' Q1 revenues came in line with street estimates while overall occupancy improved.
In an interview to CNBC-TV18, Suneeta Reddy, MD of Apollo Hospitals Enterprises discussed the company's Q1 performance.
Quarter one EBITDA margins are low because of losses incurred at Navi Mumbai unit, she said.
She further said that EBITDA margin also impacted due to regulation in stent pricing.
Reddy added that net profit impacted due to investment in the Navi Mumbai hospital. Navi Mumbai unit accounts for loss of Rs 15 crore in Q1, she further mentioned.
Apollo Hospitals have added 150 beds in Navi Mumbai unit of which 100 beds are currently occupied, said Reddy.
"We added about 88 pharmacies this year and we closed 1 pharmacy," she mentioned.
