Bharti Airtel has reported fourth quarter FY11 net profit of Rs 1,401 crore on consolidated basis as against street expectations of Rs 1,740 crore. The consolidated net sales for the January-March quarter was at Rs 16,260 crore.
Net profit increased 7.5% and net sales jumped just 3.2% from Rs 1,303 crore and Rs 1,5756 crore in Q3FY11, respectively. Its Africa division reported revenues of Rs 4,181 crore and EBIDTA of Rs 245 crore. Vikash Mantri, telecom analyst at ICICI Securities spoke about the fourth quarter earnings of Bharti Airtel.
