Chambal Fertilisers Q4 disappoints street, net falls 75%

Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals disappointed the street with a higher-than-expected fourth quarter (January-March) net profit fall of 75.3 percent year-on-year to Rs 23 crore, due to sharp drop in other income, sending shares four percent lower.

Chambal Fertilisers and Chemicals disappointed the street with a higher-than-expected fourth quarter (January-March) net profit fall of 75.3 percent year-on-year to Rs 23 crore, due to sharp drop in other income, sending shares four percent lower.


Other income slipped significantly to Rs 20 crore from Rs 92 crore Y-o-Y.
Total income went down by 18 percent to Rs 1,544 crore from Rs 1,883 crore during the same period. Also Read - ONGC inks MoU with KK Birla Group co for fertiliser unit
Analysts on an average had expected the company to report net profit of Rs 90 crore on total income at Rs 1,535 crore for the quarter.
The share plunged 4.24 percent to close at Rs 53.05 on Bombay Stock Exchange.
