TVS Apache to cost Rs 800 more, other models also expensive

Dhirendra TripathiMoneycontrolTVS Motor Company Ltd, the third largest seller of two-wheelers in the country by volumes, has hiked prices of its highest selling brand of motorcycles -- Apache – by Rs 800. Each of the six models in the Apache range has seen an increase of the same quantum.

Apache, also TVS' most premium offering in motorcycles, has seen the highest price increase in the company’s portfolio. Apache models come in 160-200 cc range. Other models are also priced higher by Rs 200 to Rs 500.

The Wego brand of scooters saw the lowest hike of Rs 200. Price of the XL 100 moped has been hiked by Rs 250.

The Chennai-headquartered company has kept the prices of its Jupiter brand of scooters unchanged. Jupiter is TVS' highest selling brand amongst all two-wheelers. The company sells three models in the Jupiter range.
