MSCI's reaction to our move is concerning: MD & CEO of BSE

BSE and NSE have decided to end all the licensing agreements and stop the data feed to SGX. A lot of experts have termed this move as protectionist and restrictive. MSCI has also called it anti-competitive and has said that this could impact India’s weightage as well. In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Ashish Kumar Chauhan, MD and CEO of BSE shared his thoughts on the same. He was speaking from the side-lines of the IIFL Enterprising India Conference.

It is a concern and it is also a concern that the experts have not understood this issue at all. It is a commercial issue amongst exchanges, he said.
