Infosys says subsidiary IMS exposed to 'cybersecurity event'

Infy said it is working with a leading cybersecurity products provider to resolve the issue at the earliest and has also launched an independent probe to identify potential impact on systems and data

IT services company Infosys Ltd on November 3 informed the exchanges that its subsidiary, Infosys McCamish Systems (IMS), became "aware of a cybersecurity event resulting in non-availability of certain applications and systems".

It was working with a leading cybersecurity products provider to resolve the issue at the earliest and also launched an independent investigation to identify the potential impact on systems and data, the company said.

"Data protection and cybersecurity are of utmost importance to us," Infosys said in a regulatory filing.

Infosys stock closed 1.36 percent higher at Rs 1,389.10 apiece on BSE.
