IT services company Infosys Ltd on November 3 informed the exchanges that its subsidiary, Infosys McCamish Systems (IMS), became "aware of a cybersecurity event resulting in non-availability of certain applications and systems".
It was working with a leading cybersecurity products provider to resolve the issue at the earliest and also launched an independent investigation to identify the potential impact on systems and data, the company said.
"Data protection and cybersecurity are of utmost importance to us," Infosys said in a regulatory filing.
Infosys stock closed 1.36 percent higher at Rs 1,389.10 apiece on BSE.
The Bengaluru-based IT services major recently asked some employees to come in to the office 10 days a month, taking a more lenient approach than many of its global peers.
In an email to select employees in the entry- to mid-level roles, the company asked them to come in for 10 days a month, starting November 20. Following the coronavirus outbreak, the firm allowed full-time remote work, which other employees are still permitted to do.
