Have received total orders worth Rs 1,500 cr: MMTC

State-run MMTC has received orders for import of steam coal from Coal India and Andhra Pradesh Power Development Company. In an interview to CNBC-TV18, CMD Ved Prakash discusses the order size and the company’s future plans.

State-run MMTC has received orders for import of steam coal from Coal India and Andhra Pradesh Power Development Company. Discussing the order size and future plans, CMD Ved Prakash said the company has got order to supply about 2.35 million tonnes of of imported steam coal during 2015-16.

MMTC plans to infuse Rs 500 cr equity in Neelachal Ispat Nigam steel plant and has been contemplating to set up a full-fledged trading company in South Africa.
