In an interview with CNBC-TV18, Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairman of Apollo Hospitals said that the new Navi Mumbai hospital will become functional by year-end or early next year.

Apollo Hospitals Group, on Monday, announced its plan to set up a new hospital in Navi Mumbai. The hospital will become functional by this year-end or early next year, Preetha Reddy, Executive Vice Chairman of Apollo Hospitals told CNBC-TV18.The total capital expenditure (capex) for the project is approximately Rs 4,000 crore, she said. The plan to add 10,000 beds by FY16 is on tracks with new projects in Bangalore and Vizag.Reddy said the hospital chain is focusing on expanion in terms of beds and develop its operational efficiencies to meet the global standards.
