Cipla to sell animal health biz soon;focus on China, Brazil mkts

India’s second largest drug maker by revenue Cipla is looking to sell Cipla Vet - its animal health business. “We have done a review of this (animal health) business. We believe that there are better owners for this business who can guide it strategically more,” said Umang Vohra, Managing Director of the company. Cipla is hopeful of sealing a deal for the business soon. The company is now concentrating on specific areas for growth. In emerging markets, Brazil and China are its priority markets, where measured approach will be taken, Vohra said.
