Budget 2016: Need FM to provide incentive to undertake R&D, says Mindtree

Mindtree CEO Krishnakumar Natarajan is optimistic about the Indian IT sector but stressed on more focus on R&D. He says India has 56 percent market share of global outsourcing, but needs to encourage more R&D activities to maintain leadership.

He expects the Budget to lend a helping hand in this regard. "I would anticipate the Budget to provide credit as well as incentives to do R&D so we can sustain our leadership position."He says the finance minister needs to look at it from the perspective that today the Indian IT industry is really the leader in the globe — hence, what needs to be done to really build a future for the industry, how to enhance current competitiveness and how to remove irritants.Watch video for more....
