A CBI team today conducted survey and inspection of boundaries of some mining companies on Karnataka-Andhra Pradesh borders including those belonging to state's Tourism Minister G Janardhana Reddy.

  The ten-member team headed by IGP Sathyanarayana conducted survey with the aid of GPS (Global Positioning System) in Obulapuram Mining Corporation's (OMC) three mining areas, Antharangam Mining Corporation (AMC), Bellary Iron ore company, Vayu Mahabaleshwarappa mining firm in Antharangamma area, official sources said.

  Officials from Mines and Geology, Forest and surveyors were also involved in the exercise.   The CBI team visited Malpanagudi forest range where illegal mining has taken place, sources said.   OMC and AMC are owned by Reddy brothers -- Janardhana and
