M&M launches Verito in a new price range

Close on the heels of rechristening the Logan as Verito and dropping the Renault's badge from the sedan, Mahindra & Mahindra today launched the car with a revised price range of Rs 4.82 lakh-5.62 lakh in both petrol and diesel variants.

The Verito will now cost around Rs 15,000 more than the existing Logan, earlier available in both petrol and diesel variants, priced between Rs 4.67 lakh and Rs 6.47 lakh (ex-showroom), as per the company''s website.

"Logan did very well last year and we hope that Verito will have a promising and stable future, which will lead our renewed charge to gain a higher share in the sedan market.

Verito is a key product in the overall Mahindra product strategy," M&M Chief Executive, Automotive Division, Rajesh Jejurikar, told reporters here.

"Verito will be available in the showrooms in the next few days. The earlier Logan will continue to get complete service and spares support from us."
"For the first time, we are using social media platforms to unveil a new product, reflecting alternative thinking," he said.

The new campaign will hit the market in mid-May, he said.

"Powered by the Renault engine, the Verito is a sedan which remains true to itself and the consumer by offering the unique proposition of space, mileage and performance along with style. The new Verito retains the famed strengths of the Logan, while adding a new style with some key changes," a company statement said. .
