Bharti has raised prices of on-net calls across four circles. GV Giri, telecom analyst at IIFL joins CNBC-TV18 to talk about what it means for the company and the sector.


Giri holds that the rate hike will definitely bode well for the balance sheet of Bharti. "Bharti carries around about a trillion minutes per year and growing. About half of that are on-net. So a quarter trillion minutes is the sort of volume that we are talking about," he points out.
