The private sector lender ING Vysya on Thursday raised Rs 1,000 crore through qualified institutional placements (QIP) and preferential allotment of shares to the promoters.
The allotment to promoters was part of the original plan, said chief financial officer Jayant Mehrotra. "We are adequately capitalized for the next 2 years after this fund raising," he informed.
Shareholders of the bank had given an approval to strengthen the capital base on June 8, following which the issue was carried through, Mehrotra said.
