Bharti Walmart opens its 18th wholesale cash and carry store today in Hyderabad. The retail chain is planning to open six more stores this fiscal and going forward 10 stores per annum. For the first time in India, Walmart has launched its own brands with private labels and it claims that these products will be the cheapest yet quality driven, reports CNBC-TV18.

Raj Jain, President, Walmart India, Hyderabad, says that for the first time we have launched our private level program. We have three private labels. The Right Buy brand, which is the opening price point brand where customers can buy the good quality products and cheapest price in this market. Second, Members Mark, brand which will compete with established brands in the market but will be 20% to 30% cheaper than established brands and the third, is very specialized brand called backers and chefs.
