New Jersey-headquartered IT major Cognizant and Vianai Systems announced a partnership on October 17 for “human-centered generative AI offerings”. As a part of this, Vianai’s Hila platform will work with Cognizant enterprise platform Neuro AI to help with predictive, AI-led decision making. “For both companies, this partnership is expected to enable growth opportunities in their respective customer bases, and through Cognizant's plans to resell Vianai solutions,” the two companies said in a statement.

This also marks the coming together of two former Infosys executives — Cognizant’s Chief Executive Officer Ravi Kumar S was an Infosys veteran, who left the company in 2022, and Vishal Sikka, who was the company’s former CEO for 3 years before resigning following a feud with the co-founders.

With Hila Enterprise, clients get a platform to deploy a large language model, which can use both structured and unstructured data that helps clients analyse, discover, and explore their data leveraging using generative AI, it said. Additionally, hila monitors and analyses LLM performance to find ways to improve the reliability and trustworthiness of LLMs.

"Being able to monitor and improve LLM performance is critical to unlocking the true power of generative AI," Kumar said in a statement.
