SC to hear Sahara's plea on November 28

The Supreme Court will hear Sahara’s plea on the Rs 47000 crore repayment case on November 28.

Sahara has also filed a plea seeking hospitalization of Subrata Sahara after the group’s lawyers told the apex court that Roy is suffering from high blood pressure and is likely to suffer a stroke.

The SC has said that they can only direct Tihar jail to give necessary treatment to Roy. Roy was jailed in March amid a long-running dispute of Sahara group with the capital markets regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) over repayment of billions of dollars to investors who were sold certain bonds. The Sahara group, however, has maintained that it has repaid over 93 percent to investors.
