SC asks Vijay Mallya to disclose all individual, family assets

Cracking the whip on Vijay Mallya, the Supreme Court has asked him to disclose all assets--both in India and abroad--owned by him and his immediate family.CNBC-TV18's Ashmit Kumar reports the apex court has not bought any of the arguments put forth by Mallya about drawing a distinction between overseas and domestic assets. Earlier, Mallya had argued that at the time of granting loans, only domestic assets were put under consideration by the lenders. Hence, the banks cannot claim any entitlement now on disclosure of overseas assets.The SC has also passed forward details mentioned in the sealed envelope sent by Mallya with respect to his assets to the banks. The court reasoned that banks have sought for a rational solution and it is crucial for them to know the paying capacity of Mallya.Watch video for more
