The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has opposed summoning of former Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh in the Jindal coal scam case, saying there is no prima facie evidence suggesting his complicity in allocation of coal blocks to the company.The premier investigative agency told a special court hearing the matter that notings from the Prime Minister's Office, when Dr Singh was in charge, do not suggest complicity and that he did not tinker with the screening committee process that decided on the allotment of the coal block to the Jindal Group.This came accused Madhu Koda, former Jharkhand chief minister, had filed an application seeking summoning of the former PM as co-accused.The special court has reserved order and will pronounce its verdict on October 16.
