Osamu Suzuki meets senior management of Maruti at Gurgoan

Maruti is slowly getting back on its feet after the violence at its Manesar plant. In this backdrop, Suzuki Motor's chairman Osamu Suzuki arrived in New Delhi on Wednesday night ahead of Maruti's AGM on August 28.

Osamu Suzuki addressed Maruti's senior management at the Gurgaon factory today. He is also slated to meet Union members of the Gurgaon factory soon, reports Ronojoy Banerjee of CNBC-TV18.
In the long-held meeting, Osamu Suzuki tried to understand the root cause of the violence that happened last month. However, we feel that a more crucial meeting would be held with the Gurgaon workers. The union of Gurgaon has come up with various talking points and among the key one is how to improve the communication between the management and the workers.
In the past, when Maruti witnessed three labour strikes, the company had but in place a mechanism to improve communication which did not worked out well and hence resulted in strike. Currently, the meeting is underway. Osamu Suzuki in the morning today visited Suzuki Motorcycles factory instead of Mariti's Gurgoan factory.
