A meeting was held between Maldives government officials, MACL – local company partnering GMR and top GMR officials in Male to work out on a resolution to the issue, reports Sunanda Jayaseelan of CNBC-TV18.

In the meeting several points were offered to GMR including total takeover of its employees and make them Male employees and also ensure a smooth transition between GMR and GMACL.
An offer is made to GMR to handover the entire operations of Male airport by 8 December. Officials indicate that the offer has been accepted by GMR. On the other hand, GMR says that while those points were offered to them but no such resolution has been reached.
GMR says that they expect the government to still continue and abide by the junction, which has been granted by the Singapore Court. GMR says that they do not anticipate any trouble. They are not putting in place any additional measures for Saturday, when GMACL hopes to takeover that airport. Therefore, confusion really continuing as far as GMRs operations in Male is concerned.
GM Rao, Chairman of GMR Group says, "We believe that wherever you participate wherever transparent bidding is there we will participate. This is bidded by the IFC Washington.
