The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) examinations for classes 10 and 12 are starting on February 15 at 10:30am. The class 10 exams will end on March 13, while the class 12 exams will end on April 2.
For class 10, the first exam is Painting, Gurung, Rai, Tamang, and Sherpa. For class 12, the first exam is Entrepreneurship, Kokborok, Capital Market Operation, and Physical Activity Trainer.

Students need to mandatorily carry exam admit cards and are instructed to reach the examination hall at 10am. Further, it is advised to be at least 15 minutes earlier than the prescribed time to avoid any last-moment problems.
Students need to wear school uniforms and must not carry any item not permitted by the CBSE. They are allowed to carry plastic transparent pouches, identity cards, pens, pencils, erasers, and scales.
Not allowed
Any kind of communication device is prohibited, including mobile phones. Invigilators may deny permission or seize items that are not allowed in the examination hall.
However, students suffering from Type-1 diabetes and appearing in the Board Examinations are allowed to carry a few items in the examination hall in a transparent pouch/box, provided they have informed the same school authorities as per schedule.

This includes sugar tablets, chocolate, candy, fruits like banana, apple, orange, snack items like sandwiches and any high protein diet, medicines required as per the doctor's prescription, water bottle (500 ml), glucometer and glucose testing strips, continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) machine, Flash Monitoring (FGM) machine and/or insulin pumps.
The school or the student or the parents will approach the examination centre at least a day before the start of the examination and intimate the Centre Superintendent about the items to be carried by the students.
On the day of the examination also, the student will reach the school at least 45 minutes before the start of the examinations i.e. latest by 9:45am.
Stay away from rumours
CBSE has earlier issued a circular warning people against rumours and fake information on board exams on various social media platforms.

“It has been observed in the past that during exam time certain unscrupulous elements make an effect to spread rumours on YouTube, Facebook, X, Telegram and other social media platforms about paper leaks to claim to have access to question papers of exams. Miscreants also circulate fake links of sample papers with the claim that questions will be from those sample papers,” the circular said.
CBSE also issued a public advisory warning students to be on alert for fake social media accounts of CBSE on X, formerly Twitter. Some of these accounts, with the CBSE logo in the display picture, are circulating misinformation on exam schedules and the registration process, among others. Some of the posts also suggest users send their exam query on a mail unrelated to CBSE.
